Constantine makrouds with orange blossom water
Instructions
- Mix 250 g of fine semolina with 125 g of melted butter until you obtain a sandy texture.
- Gradually add orange blossom water to form a firm dough, then leave to rest for 30 minutes.
- Shape the dough into small sticks about 2 cm in diameter, making a slight indentation in the centre of each stick.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the makrouds until they are
golden brown and crispy. - Drain them on kitchen paper.
- Lightly heat some liquid honey in a saucepan and generously drizzle the
hot makrouds with this honey. - Optionally, sprinkle with sesame seeds to decorate.
- Leave to cool slightly before serving.
- Constantine makrouds with orange blossom water are delicious served warm or at room temperature.
