form a firm dough, then leave to rest for 30 minutes.<\/li><li>Shape the dough into small sticks about 2 cm in diameter, making a slight indentation in the centre of each stick.<\/li><li>Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the makrouds until they are<br \/>golden brown and crispy.<\/li><li>Drain them on kitchen paper.<\/li><li>Lightly heat some liquid honey in a saucepan and generously drizzle the<br \/>hot makrouds with this honey.<\/li><li>Optionally, sprinkle with sesame seeds to decorate.<\/li><li>Leave to cool slightly before serving.<\/li><li>Constantine makrouds with orange blossom water are delicious served warm or at room
